5月9日14:30開場15:00開演

Considering the situation of the spread of COVID-19 infection inside and outside Japan, the organizers of the Music Festival including Oita Prefecture, Beppu City, and Oita City and the President of Argerich Arts Foundation Martha Argerich have continued discussions about the Music Festival to be held this May.
Under the current measures taken by the government against the spread of the coronavirus, such as immigration restrictions and activity restrictions, it has become difficult for the participating musicians to come to Japan from Europe. Besides, it is unpredictable how far the virus will spread in Japan. Under the circumstances, we have decided to postpone the 22nd Music Festival to the period from May 8 to June 6, 2021, thinking first of the safety and security of the customers, artists and people concerned including volunteers.
We sincerely apologize the people who have been looking forward to it for the inconvenience. We would like to ask for your kind understanding of the situation and our decision. We also extend our apology to those who have supported us including many contributors and cooperators, and those who have made efforts to make the Music Festival possible.

The theme of the 22nd MUSIC FESTIVAL Argerich's Meeting Point in Beppu to be held in May next year will remain as "Music and SDGs - To meet the future." We will prepare for the Music Festival with the same content planned for this year to the fullest extent possible including the participating musicians.
